Teaching

I have taught and developed curriculum for a wide range of chemistry courses; with and without labs, from entry to upper division levels. Some of this experience was at a large R1 institute, Oregon State University, and most currently at a primarily undergraduate institute, Linfield University.
Most of my personal teaching and curricular development efforts are centered around three main areas.
- Development of interdisciplinary courses that engage students in science, technology, and engineering through culturally relevant topics related to art, fashion, innovation, and health.
- Development of immersive chemistry curriculum that uses advanced computational tools for molecular simulations and VR to create new ways for students to learn chemistry concepts.
- Development of course-based undergraduate research experiences that explore topics important to semiconductor manufacturing, thin-film electronics, and the discovery of new inorganic materials.
